Deacon James Carabajal is the Chief Executive Officer of the Catholic Community Foundation, where he leads the Foundation in its mission of supporting the Diocese of Phoenix by encouraging philanthropy and providing financial support for education and evangelization.
Prior to serving as the Foundation’s CEO, Dcn. James worked in the public accounting/consulting and healthcare industries for nearly 23 years before joining the Foundation as the Chief Financial Officer. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico and an MBA from The W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Dcn. James holds an active Certified Public Accountant Certificate as well as several Diaconal Theology certificates from the University of Notre Dame. Dcn. James is an ordained deacon currently assigned to All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa. He previously served the Archdiocese of Santa Fe as an assigned deacon in Albuquerque, NM. Dcn. James and his wife of nearly 32 years, Liz, have five children.
