Fr. Doug Lorig was a beloved priest in our diocese and the first pastoral provision priest. He was a former Episcopal Priest who converted to the Catholic faith along with his wife and four children in 1979. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1984. Serving the Diocese of Phoenix for 32 years, his resume is astounding.

He served as a teacher at St. Mark's Catholic School and Seton Catholic Preparatory High School. He then helped establish Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Queen Creek. He served St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Parish in Gilbert and then the pastor at St. Anne. He was also the spiritual director of the Arizona Marian Conference for many years. Fr. Doug kept a prayer journal of people he prayed for, both living and deceased, as well as vocations.

Administrative Fees Lowered

The Catholic Community Foundation is excited to announce that administrative fees for Donor-Advised Funds are being reduced for the second consecutive year!

Administrative fees for Donor-Advised Funds have been lowered from 1.25% to 1.15%, with the minimum fee being reduced from $500 to $250. This impacts ALL Donor-Advised Fund holders with invested accounts!

Why does this matter?

  • The Foundation offers a lower entry point for Donor-Advised Funds than other financial institutions and community foundations when considering new funds below $40,000.
  • The Foundation is proud to share our success with the rest of the community to help encourage even more community investment!

Still don’t like fees? Good news! The Foundation offers a no-fee Donor-Advised Fund. The ONLY no-fee Donor Advised Fund in Arizona. Contact our development team to get started!
