IRA Charitable Rollover
Congress made permanent the law that allows people 70 ½ or older who own an IRA to make gifts directly to charity while satisfying their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). For many, this is the best tax-wise way to give. Consider contributing to the Foundation to support works of mercy, need-based education or a gift to one of our perpetual endowment funds, sustaining ministries throughout the diocese.

The Catholic Community Foundation provides an opportunity for community members to simplify their charitable giving while making a lasting, positive impression in the community through donor advised funds.
It allows the donor to make a gift, in stocks or cash, that will fund the Donor Advised Fund. The fund’s assets grow tax free and the donor is able to provide recommendations on grants to be made from the fund through their online portal — all without any fees.
For Jerry and Kathleen Morgan, establishing their Donor Advised Fund six years ago has provided a way to give consistently to the charities of their choice regardless of variations in their income.READ MORE
The Holy Spirit Newman Center was established over 50 years ago on the campus of Northern Arizona University to be a beacon of Christ’s light to students at NAU and Coconino Community College. “Students can feel so isolated and alone, and the center has become a home away from home where they can show up as they are and be known and loved,” says Fr. Matt Lowry, Chaplain of the Newman Center.By some estimates, 80 percent of Catholics that leave the Church do so during their college years. Those that continue to engage during those years, however, are more likely to continue attending Mass after college, discern vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and to live their faith in their daily lives.READ MORE
